Lady GaGa was born on the 28th day of March 1986 with the birth name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She has since become one of American's great recording artists. Her performing career began in New York City's rock scene on the Lower East Side. She then moved on to cut a deal with Streamline Records when they first got established in 2007, just a few short years ago.
Albums
She debuted with a studio album released in August, 2008 with popular title tracks like "Poker Face" and "Just Dance", songs which became international hits as well as hitting the top 100 charts in the USA. This album racked up six Grammy nominations, winning two of those awards in early 2009. By the last part of 2009 she released her second album The Fame Monster which was an appropriate title for an artist who catapulted to stardom so quickly.
Inspiration
Lady GaGa has been inspired by some pretty noticeable rockers including David Bowie, Queen's Freddie Mercury, and pop stars Michael Jackson and Madonna, just to name a few. I'd be surprised if Marilyn Manson wasn't somewhere in the mix considering Lady GaGa's taste for eccentric flamboyant fashion.
Early Days
Unlike many pop stars Lady GaGa could play the piano by ear at the age of four and write most of her own music as a superstar. Studying music at the age of 17 after being accepted to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, she focused on music, art, social studies and American politics. She's been quoted as saying "Once you learn how to think about art, you can teach yourself." Some time during her sophomore year she withdrew from the university to focus entirely on her musical career. She rented a cheap apartment and ate less than nutritious foods, living frugally while she pounded the pavement with hard work, talent and ambition.
Her Stage Name
Instead of saying hello when she entered the recording studio, she'd sing Queen's song, Radio GaGa, as a salutation. It became somewhat her signature entrance at the studio. The name Lady GaGa actually came about by accident. Music Producer, Rob Fusari apparently had that song stuck in his head one day when he sent the superstar a text message referencing the Queen song. An auto spell check program corrected the word Radio to come out as Lady, there you have it, Lady GaGa!
Fashion
What could possibly inspire this woman's fashion? She's a very fashionable woman, on and off stage. In fact, she's started her own Haus of Fashion which is basically a production team that she personally overseas. They help to create her hairdos, clothing and shoes. Being well dressed is a trait picked up from her mother. Fashion plus music equals performance art in the eyes of Lady GaGa.
The Diamonds of Bad Romance
During the second verse of GaGa's music video Bad Romance she wears a fabulous diamond studded outfit, including a diamond veil. She adorns both her wrist with bracelets and wears an anklet around her left white leather boot. In this video alone she sports ten spectacular outfits. The most stunning shot is GaGa in a black bikini with the camera rotating while white simulated diamonds float all around her. This music video is by far one of the best ever produced. Diamonds are considered to be the king of gems and with that thought I will have to conclude, as does this music video.
