Lady Gaga kicked off her big night at the MTV Video Music Awards in refined style: she hit the red carpet wearing wearing the same red and gold Alexander McQueen gown that she sported in her recent Vanity Fair shoot, topped off with a mohawk made of feathers. Gaga ended up scoring 8 Moonmen, including — per our prediction — Video Of The Year. Gaga walked down the carpet escorted by one member of each of the armed forces. But she hardly needed the military backup: she looked fierce all by herself:
Once inside, Gaga more or less swept the awards, picking up 8 Moonmen (out of 13 total nominations). She changed outfits between awards, of course.
Her outfit of the night? Quite possibly, the one made of meat.
